The overall goal of the Mental Health staff is to promote good mental health by; educating parents and staff regarding possible interventions for emotional, behavioral and/ or social concerns; providing on-site consultation; and offering assistance and referrals as needed throughout the program year via the following methods:
Classroom observations Social/behavioral assessments Individual/group sessions for children Parent/staff conferences Technical assistance to staff Parent/staff training Parent support groups Parent consultation Resource referral and community networking
