Early Childhood Development
Children's school readiness is fostered through individualized learning experiences. By engaging in meaningful interactions with adults, play-based activities, and both structured and spontaneous instruction, children develop across multiple learning domains. These include social skills, emotional well-being, language and literacy skills, mathematics and science concepts.
Health and Nutrition Services
Health and physical development are crucial for early learning opportunities that require children to fully explore and experience their environment. All children receive health screenings and nutritious meals, and programs connect families with medical, dental, and mental health services to ensure children are receiving the care and attention they need.
Family Support Services
Parents and families are offered program services to support family well-being and to achieve family goals, such as continued education. Programs support and strengthen parent-child relationships and engage families in the learning and development of their child. These services empower families to become active participants in their child’s growth while building a strong foundation for lifelong success.
Birth to Age 5
Head Start programs promote the school readiness of children ages 3 to 5. Infants and toddlers are served through Early Head Start programs. Early Head Start programs are available to the family until the child turns 3 years old and is ready to transition into Head Start.
Support Us
While Head Start is federally funded, many don’t realize that programs are required to raise 20% of their annual funding through local contributions. These vital funds go directly toward strengthening our comprehensive services, ensuring that every child enters kindergarten ready to succeed.
